Residents and the community association are being ignored! More consultation needs to be done.

I do sign the petition for parking on the north side of 5th ave. However, I believe strongly that parking should remain on both sides of 5th avenue. This community cannot afford to lose these valuable parking spaces, especially after the approval, and building of major condo projects which will surely increase vehicle as well as person density in the neighbourhood. There has not been enough consultation on the "removal of parking spaces on 5th ave". Why is this being visited on the residents of our community? Eroding parking availablity will just make it more difficult to live here. Why!!!!

I visit Riley Park twice a week with a large stroller and two kids in tow. Being able to park on the north side of 5th Ave is extremely important because it eliminates the risk of crossing a busy street. I completely understand that in order to add a bike lane, parking can only be on one side...please maintain parking on the north side!!!

Leaving parking on the north where the majority of people are going would make the street much safer.

While I am in favour of biking and bike lanes, we need to remember that parking is an issue in our community. Decreasing parking on the north side of 5th Avenue does not make much sense given the proximity of Riley Park.

For the city to Allow Riley Park & A busy Community Center to accept patrons means we need all the parking we can get. Both places have limited parking on site and both places are very popular. Not everyone visiting these venues live within walking distance. Having to cross the busy 5th avenue with children in tow to attend the wading pool or a community center event is in my mind setting this area up for a fatality. Not to mention the South side has more single dwellings that use the on street parking, doesn't leave much for visitors to the area.

Disappointed that city would ignore residents & community association. Effort was made to engage cycle community but totally ignored long-term residents. Parking on south will have huge impact on safety of pedestrians. Amazed city wants us to walk but puts us at risk & actually twits for every pedestrian hit as if they are proud of it!
