Petition: Year 5 / 6 Camp Cancellation – 2026

We, the undersigned parents and caregivers, are requesting that the school reconsider its decision to cancel the 2026 Year 5 / 6 camp.

The cancellation was announced on the basis of cost, yet no consultation, survey, or discussion was held with families regarding the financial impact or possible alternatives. Year 5 / 6 camp is a significant milestone in our children’s final year of primary school. It provides social, emotional, and educational experiences that cannot be replicated in the classroom, and it plays an important role in preparing students for high school.

By signing this petition, you are expressing that:

• You do not support the cancellation of the 2026 Year 5 / 6 camp
• You believe parents should have been consulted before such a major decision was made
• You want the school to explore options that allow the camp to proceed, including payment plans, fundraising, or alternative venues
