Change is a good thing, help with metrics and not hurt the smaller channels

The dislike button is not needed. If you don't like a video just don't watch it. Why does there always have to be a negative associated with everything?

it needs to be removed as it is used way to much against the creator and not the content. it is a bully tactic

I can't think something more worthless than that button. They could just not save/hide the dislikes number like they do with comments and posts, but nope

Too much negativity on Youtube so this definitely needs removing.

i agree i think it's stupid for people to dislike a video when people youtuber work so hard time and effort into making the video, and haters or trolls have to ruin it and dislike it right off. i think dislike needs to be off youtube and replaces it with love button instead i don't like criticism and negativity toward the youtubers. so please YouTube please take the dislike down and get a love button to replace the dislike thank you.

I agree, people press that button a lot of the time without even watching the video. I'm it's definitely being taken advantage of and it's not fair to the creators.

I agree. The dislike button was just stupid. Constructive criticism? I beg to differ.

stop disliking videos now! abolish cyberbullying on internet. this is not free speech. tumblr and other social medias like ello did fine without the dislike too.

If someone doesn't care for a video, they should be encouraged to explain why, not hide behind a trolling button. If they don't care enough to explain why, then they can simply - and maturely - leave. The dislike button is used mostly for childish purposes than constructive criticism. Facebook and Twitter do just fine without "dislike" functions; about time YouTube joined in!
