The undersigned parents of the Warwick Valley Central School District, both past and present, are writing to express serious concerns regarding the current leadership and to formally request your resignation.
It is both unacceptable and inappropriate for you to position yourself as the investigator of serious allegations of child grooming and misconduct—particularly when those allegations are supported by documented accounts from students and their families. Such matters warrant review by qualified, independent law enforcement professionals who possess the training, authority, and tools necessary to conduct thorough and impartial investigations. The decision to handle these matters internally raises serious concerns and calls into question the intended purpose and effectiveness of the School Resource Officer program. If the safety of our children were truly the highest priority, these investigations would be entrusted to appropriate law enforcement agencies, including independent entities such as state police and child protective services.
We believe that decisions are being made that place priorities such as politics and personal interests above the best interests of our children. Many parents feel that their voices—and more importantly, the voices of their children—are not being heard. This lack of responsiveness and accountability is having a negative impact on students, families, and the overall school community.
Our concerns have gone unaddressed, and confidence in the district’s leadership has been significantly diminished. We are advocating for leadership that prioritizes transparency, accountability, and the well-being of every student.
For these reasons, we are formally requesting your resignation.
