This #BraveNewBar is only good for the gutter. Pray, what manner of legacy is this? How much is the average young lawyer earning? It's peanuts. NBA is now for deep pockets, and the present leadership cannot think outside the box to protect our interest as young lawyers. Ichabod!

The astronomical registration fee is not a true reflection of the current economic situation of the country in general and majority of lawyer in particular. So, it should be reduced by more than seventy percent.

My earnings can not cover up for this, in as much I would love to attend because I practice in Lagos, this is not feasible for an average young Lawyer... #fairnessandequity

I'm in total support of the petition. The fee is just too outrageous. After paying such amount as registration fee, what about accomdations, transport, feeding and so on. I thank the YL's exco for this great move.

I am not surprised by this official agenda of the Senior members of the Bar. If you take time to ruminate over your many encounters with these seniors, then I'm sure Most of you wouldn't be surprised. One thing is good in this. At least they have unabashingly shown what has been under wraps expressed sporadically. It is now official these people don't want us around. However, I want to draw their attention to the fact that this Bar belongs to everyone of us. But come to think of it, there ought to be a representative of the YLF in the NEC. If there is what is his/her input to this outrageously insensitive policy?

The hike is too much. It is easy for them to hike prices of conference but not easy for them to hike the wages of young lawyers. If they can fix an amount for young lawyers to pay , then should also be ready to fix a particular amount which a young lawyer should not be allowed earn below.

The approved NBA AGC registration fee is actually an indirect method of adoption of elimination method on the desired attendance. The interests of the young lawyers should at all time be protected as the profession and the Association is for them and has to be preserved.
