The fees quoted, though are ordinarily fine should not stand when considered with the financial realities of the young lawyer. While I was willing to pay for and attend the conference last year, this year, unless my boss pays for me, I will not be attending. I do not think anybody needs iPads with law pavilion subscriptions. Even the richer lawyers do not need them as they have Betiku's devices with access to law pavilion and ilaw platforms and subscription. For us of the lower income grade, particularly the younger lawyers, we can do without the iPads or law pavilion subscriptions. I believe should they want to include these, individuals should be allowed to elect.
When NBA undertakes to set and enforce a minimum wage standard for lawyers, we may then be able to attend NGN20/40/80,000 conferences. The current regime just won't work.
Young lawyers cannot cope with the hike in fees.
We say no to this 120% increase in NBA AGC fees.
We say No

Enough is Enough
The price is discriminatory in view of the standard of young lawyers and the tablet should be made optional.
I hereby sign this petition
