It saddens my heart that Senior Lawyers who are meant to nurture/educate the new wigs in respect of this profession are not doing so, they pay young lawyers peanuts and expect so much from them. Instead of NBA to advise Senior Lawyers to educate the new wigs and at least pay a reasonable fee, they are charging one's salary for a conference. God help the new wigs.

I agree with the young lawyers.the NBA is a money making institution, they should use our BPF to buy our tabs,not milk dry the young lawyers

It's really disheartening that our noble Profession is being ridiculed & dragged to the mud by this kind of decisions without due and proper consultation with those that will be affected by same.
Instead of the NBA to vigorously pursue a Living wage for young Lawyers who are been paid as little as (20) Twenty Thousand Naira monthly as Salary and they are making them to pay this high for Conference.
It's a pity and I cry for fellow young Lawyers in this country.
To be frank this wasn't contemplated when we all chose Law!

This is ridiculous as well as wickedness of the highest order.
How much do young lawyers earn or get paid to be asked to cough this out all in the name of AGC.
Except they remove the continuous learning education requirement because it is tied to NBA AGC, the NBA AGC is by force therefore they must reduce that ridiculous and unrealistic amount they pegged it at.

This is an impeachable offence committed by the entirety of the NBA excos. Deliberate increment of conference fees to deprive young lawyers from attending is evil and impeachable.
