Seeing 250 names on this list feels incredible because I know how much people here truly care about preventing unnecessary suffering. It started as a small hope to protect animals from this cruel practice and now it is becoming a real conversation in our city.

Seeing so many of you connect with this mission has been deeply moving because this cruelty has no place in our city. I am currently working on a formal request for a sit down with council members to discuss why we must take a stand against this practice.

Seeing one hundred people agree that this cruelty has no place in York makes me feel a little less alone in this fight. This is a meaningful start toward bringing these concerns directly to the council chamber.

ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING HOW THIS IS STILL A THING. STOP SERVING IT NOW!
people have no idea what these poor birds go through. its shameful restaurants still sell this.
York is a beautiful city and this has no place here. Cruelty shouldnt be on the menu.
Keep it out of our city. We dont want it.
