York Region Transit provides a transit system to York Region daily. With about 18 million commuters a year, there are a lot of people that rely on it. For the last 12 weeks there has been no transit system to 44 000 of York Regions commuters. And enough is enough. The region is doing nothing apart it and Bill Fisch, CEO of the region, has said he is not going to the government for help. It is his mistake. I am hoping, that if this petition works, he will realize what the trouble is and act on something fast.

The current momentum confirms that the exclusion of 44,000 daily commuters is no longer an issue that can be ignored by regional leadership. I am now preparing a formal briefing package to deliver directly to the office of Bill Fisch.

This is ridiculous. I have to spend way too much money on cabs just to get to my shifts. Get it sorted out already.
