The only reason I maintain my YMCA membership is for the LesMills Classes - without these I will be looking at more affordable options - BodyFlow is key

I recently rejoined the YMCA from a discount gym because I like the group fitness Body Pump program. I tried the MOSSA class at Midway and it was lesser than Body Pump. Its very similar, but not the same. It's good the group fitness will still be part of the offerings, but is this change only for change sake. I felt this was a lesser substitution. I will be disappointed if this change is made without sharing the value or reasoning of making that change to members.

I have been a member of YMCA twin cities for 8 years and have stuck with this gym only because they have Les Mills classes, body pump to be exact. I tried the new class a few weeks ago at the Southdale location and it was not a challenge at all compared to body pump. If the YMCA no longer will hold Les Mills classes I am ending my membership and attending Eden Prairie Commmunity Center gym instead. That is the closest gym to me that has Les Mills classes.

My Bodyflow class is the main reason I go to the YMCA. There is nothing more invigorating and fun. Each week, the studio is filled to capacity. I am very disappointed about this!

Nearly all reviews have Les Mills classes as more challenging than mossa which I think is a good thing.

As the saying goes, why change something that isn't broken? Taking away Les Mills classes is not a smart business decision (you will lose members and credibility), nor is it ethical due to the fact that members love these classes and pay higher than average membership fees to attend. Please don't break something that is working (more than) just fine! Do the right thing, listen to your long-time, loyal members.

The Y in Willmar switched to Mossa. I'm not happy with the change. Mossa body strength is not challenging. I miss body pump. If it weren't for bootcamp I would change gyms.

First of all, I find it exceedingly frustrating that the YMCA staff refuses to listen to its members. There has been such an extreme outcry and yet the decision was made to change. They even got rid of the comment box at Shoreview apparently because it was getting crammed with objections. I am 63 years old and BodyStep has been a blessing for me. I can't run and I can't jump; I found Group Blast does not have a modification that can get my heart rate up. I am in the process of looking around for other gym options to go to after July.

The only reason I have a Y membership is to attend body pump. Without body pump I would not maintain my membership as I have access to a very high quality, free gym (with group classes) at work.

Please don't take away Les Mills! I don't want cheesy remake songs and I definitely want a challenge. The best part about Les Mills is that they offer options for ALL levels. MOSSA does not!!!

I've been doing body pump since the Andover y opened 10 years ago. Will end my membership with the y if body pump goes away.

Keep Les Mills! It's what makes Twin Cities YMCA the best in the country! The classes are always jam packed. We LOVE them. Lose Les Mills and you'll lose a lot of members.

Body Flow music and movements provide an emotional journey that is critical for mind, body and spirit. A perfect fit with the Y mission.
Please keep body pump
