I remember first joining the Cain halter YMCA in 1973. One of the greatest things I remember us being able to swing by the Y even if I did not have a bag together and get a quick workout in and grabbing my towels and going to shower. It is a huge inconvenience now, not having that same ability, but paying five times the price.

I pay a premium membership at the YMCA because I support their overall mission. At the same time we as members deserve consideration. I understand the Covid issue. Thankfully due to magnificent science and the good Lord above that time has gone. It’s time the executive leadership team listen to the request of its members. The blatant denial to hear out our request is simply disrespectful. The sign as you walk out states something along the lines of “speak up, your opinion matters!” . If this is the case why is the leadership team still ignoring repeated request on a member preference? I’ve seen enough water puddles and members drying off with paper towels. Extremely unsanitary. I challenge the Executive Leadership Team to listen to its members and bring back towels!
