This policy is very outdated and does not discourage drinking in any way. If anything it just courages people to drink because they feel as though they’ve gotten away with something. It’s a silly rule that is only being supported still because people who do not represent the student body well support it.

I feel that the alcohol policy as of 2018 should be reviewed and consider revising or adding anything that the student body deems as fair or atleast being noticed.

I think this is a great idea. People don’t have to drink, but can still come and hang out with us.

I feel it will be a safer environment and remove this rebellious habit on campus. It also will be treating us as adults

This would be a step in the right direction. Being in a dry campus hasn’t taught anyone not to drink or kept them from doing so. It’s simply taught everyone to be more sneaky about it. Like visitation hours in rooms of the opposite sex, drinking rules are out dated and never adhered to anyway.

I believe the policy should be changed in order to prevent innocent students from getting in trouble. I feel as though a bar across the street from campus would be a safe environment to prevent people from drinking and driving if they do not have a DD. Students are going to drink whether or not there is an alcohol policy. The best way to ensure everyone is safe is to change the policy and allow people who are at least 21 to consume alcohol on campus.

I believe that if you are 21 you should not get penalized for having an alcoholic beverage when it is completely in your rights to do so. From my understanding you can also get in trouble for getting intoxicated off campus then coming back. I do however understand that it would be radical to ask for the whole campus to become wet immediately. So, I propose that we have “wet zones” so that students of age can enjoy, openly, and alcoholic beverage. Such zones might include the village.
