This isn't "just" about alcohol. It's about the churches controlling local policies. Let's move out of the modern dark ages and actually let the taxpayers decide, instead of the tax dodging establishment who has obvious representation without taxation.
To read that the local board member even mentioned that "we should keep the sabbath" line is almost a cry and shame. Clearly that member only cares about certain constituents and not the population as a whole.
I'll sign, but until we can have a clear separation of church and state in this town, this won't pass, I'll still stock up on Saturday and eat at home on Sunday.
