Poverty is found everywhere around the world, though in this developed country of Australia, we try our best to eliminate it. A person who experiences living in poverty struggles to survive and hold basic needs of holding an income, funding for food, clothing, health and education.

The 2010 statistics from ACOSS (Australian Council of Social Service) show that about 2.2 million people in Australia live in all cases of poverty. Through this, the percentage of Australians in poverty has risen by 0.3%. Though some may say this is a small percent, it has an influence on the 1 out of 6 children in Australia who live in poverty.
