During the past couple of months, a few neighbors in the area have called the county and complained. They want the track closed for good.
York County Lawn Mower Racing Association has fully insured the speedway, is a licensed non-profit organization and also promotes helping the community and local families in need.

This is a fun family activity that keeps kids off the street and interacting with their parents.I can't believe people would want to close it down,shame on those who do.It is so hard to get kids to spend time with their parents now days,please don't close this down.
My kids and I really miss the races there. My USAF roommate raced there and I liked to see him race there!
I would love to see this re-opened. I'm wondering if there is something that could be done to accomodate the concerns of the neighbors ... maybe a middle ground that might make everyone happy.
If we let them the lawyers will ruin America. All we can do is work hard, keep faith and hold ground against liberals.
I would like Phatbottom Speedway to remain open and continue operations. The track is a great place for friends and family to gather for some fun under the sun.
We need to save every track we can!

Please continue to keep this family friendly recreation open in York, SC. This is an excellent and safe way to entertain family and friends visiting the area. Thank you, Vicki Davison
