Companies like A-dec are saying they're going to put employees on furlough for month long periods as the economy shrinks and then if it's doesn't improve fast enough they'll start laying peopow off. For a company that received millions in tax breaks every year I'm furious that they would consider this option in a community which so deeply relies on them. I grew up with the Austin's and it is disgusting that the children would consider this. I know how wealthy they are.

I have very little FET at this time to be able to cover something like a 14 day quarantine if I were to get the virus. It is absurd that being legitimately ill and needing to take leave without pay could result in disciplinary action or be seen as a performance issue if FMLA is not in place.

The County is needed to provide essential services - the workers are the essential piece of that equation.

I'm still recovering from being ill and on FMLA in November and don't have a lot of FET available to use right now.

They should also pay the workers with small kids that go have to go to a daycare/school facility because a lot of parents take their kids sick there rather than staying Home. And also if you don’t have daycare you can’t go to work. It really is not worth the risk for the kiddos. Or we should be given the Options to work partially from home remotely when/if possible.

I fully support this petition and feel the County should step up just like surrounding Counties has help their employee.

THIS is how we take care of our community, and the people in it, when unexpected crisis seem to over run the entire country. When our employer's step up, and support being a part of the solution.

I’m currently using all my available FET plus unpaid time through FMLA to care for my elderly parent on the east coast. If I were to get sick or to be a carrier, I would not be able to afford more time off. We in Maternal Child Health visit pregnant women and vulnerable children at home. I will leave it to the County Administration to decide what is in the best interest of our public health in YC. I think it’s clear what we employees consider to be the ethical course of action.

Yamhill County should sign the Letter of Agreement immediately to protect employees and citizens. It's a matter of public health and should be a no-brainer.
