The insane balkanization of Ghana at the district level, simply for political expediency “job for the boys” syndrome, is now, without rational justification being extended to the regions. Very soon, probably in two years, my village will be divided into two districts, which may bring the number of districts into the thousands, in Ghana! The question to ask is, at what economic cost, even if they have no respect for the indigenes? At a time when Ghana’s resources should be husbanded and judiciously applied to the development effort, they are about to be dissipated on inconsequentialities? I humbly appeal to his Excellency to change the preposterous political mindset of the old order and freeze the creation of districts, constituencies and regions.

Leave our noble region alone, compare Ashanti region to Volta region, how can you develop a big region like Ashanti and Eastern region and tell me that splitting up the region will bring development. How big is the Volta region, if you can develop a region that is three times bigger than the Volta region, then am sorry you intentions is not about developments. Volta region we stand for NO.
