I asked Lendlease, Yarrabilba community group if there was a skate park in the plan soon.
Their response:
"We will continue to assess the requirements of the growing community. If there is a lot of demand for a skate park, we will certainly look into possible locations and consult the community on what you would like included."
Please sign this petition and see if we can make it a reality. I know my kids are keen

The feedback from the community has been overwhelming. I am currently coordinating with local representatives to ensure those in charge actually see our demand.

As a dad who skateboards, it would be awesome to be able to take the kids local rather than driving places.
I have well behaved teenagers who would love to have a skate park that they could walk/ride too. The park is only aimed for young children although there is basketball courts most of the time its full and basketball alone is not fun where as a skate park can be enjoyed by all ages alone or in a group..
I think it would be great and would also keep the kids away from riding their bikes and scooters through the water park
A skate park in Yarrabilba would be ideal considering it is being built as a family community. My children are 6 and 10, my 10 year old isn't for parks, he would prefer a skate park where he can do his thing.

I often take my sons upto Logan village or Jimboomba skate park. The other children there mostly live in Yarrabilba and are skating/scootering themselves to the skate park from Yarrabilba on the main road which has had many fatalities and major car accidents. I would rather my children have a space in Yarrabilba to skate and be outdoors.
