Getting ridiculous in your own property i could see if it was out on the street away from your own property like a parking lot or flee market which we dont have.

I think Tucumcari city officials are all on crack if they think this community is going to let this ordinance pass! If the city has time and money to enforce such a ridiculous ordinance then how come they don't have the money to have the dumpsters emptied twice a week like they are suppose to be. Or how about fixing the streets so that we can actually drive on them without needing a tank so the pot holes don't swallow our vehicles. Or invest in our youth and something for them to do. Nope instead you want to charge us to have a yard sale on our own property that we already pay flippin taxes on. Ya our city officials need to put down the crack pipe and come back to reality!

We do not need permits to have a garage sale...

Who even cares about a few cardboard boxes lying around? Half of those boxes look 100 times better than the majority of the houses and abandoned buildings in town, which is what should ACTUALLY be focused on. I'd much rather see a nice flat DIRT field waiting for development that the five or so abandoned fast food and truck stops just lying around gather dust, being meeting grounds for undesireables of all sorts...

Due to limited income and stores in Tucumcari, I don't think it's feasible to be limiting garage sales to our residents nor eliminate second stores. However I do think they should clean up their signs and second hand stores to keep outside neat.

I have never heard of such a ridiculous thing in all the places I have ever lived. If there is a problem with signs everywhere then have an ordinance for the SIGNS. If there is a noise or traffic complaint then deal with THAT. I would think there are better uses for our time and energy.

Please don't limit yard sales in Tucumcari. I think getting a free permit for them is a great idea to help crack down on the people running them daily as businesses!

HOw ridiculous trying to put absurd limitations in yard sales...maybe time and effort should be put into solving some real problems this town has like lack of activities for the youth who live here and getting rid of some of the old abandoned businesses on the main streets of this town

We pay enough for water dumpsters that are always full and roads that are never fixed...... We should not have to pay to sell what we don't want empty the dumpsters more and we can talk about paying $5-$10 for saleing stuff but till then nope the city rips people off

This ordinance is simply a ruse to make it more difficult for residents to have yard sales. I feel that yard sales are a part of this towns make up.
