Due to the impact of the recent financial crisis on students, we, the undersigned, call on Yale to reverse the recent increase in the student self-help financial aid contribution from $2,600 to $3,000. Furthermore, we ask that Yale reinstate the two-week exclusive hiring period for student jobs previously granted to students receiving financial aid. We hope the University will view these proposals as a call for greater student access to, and involvement in, the financial aid decision-making process.
