Microsoft finally caved and lifted the cap on our friends lists. I can finally add all the people I have been forced to track through manual messages for years. Thank you for pushing this change with me.
I wanted to start a petition to show there are a large number of users who prefer to have more flexibility to their friends list. Xbox Live should open the friend's list to a restriction higher than the current 100 friends restriction in place now. Example: In the time spent playing online multi-players, I have met a lot of great people that I enjoy playing with. I myself have 100 friends, as well as a number of friends who have to keep current with me by sending me manual messages on xbox live (manually entering my gamertag they have written down), so they can click on my gamertag on the sent message screen to get my profile, see if I am online and join-game information. I can never add them because I enjoy playing with everyone that I already have listed. I keep the list updated constantly, only deleting someone if their account is closed or they haven't been on in a long time (in which case, when they come back...they have to switch to the message approach too). This is crazy! All social media applications have an unlimited number of friends (from facebook to instant messengers. All of these services are free. So why are we being restricted on something we pay money for? Open the friend's list! Allow those other people on we so we can more easily play with them as well. Maybe even add a group option to group friends together for when you have different friends who like to play within their own clans or similar situations. Microsoft used to say that the limit was due to the 360 supporting the games from the original console. That there was a conflict between the two engines and that losing that support would fix that. Since then, Microsoft removed the support for the original xbox games....yet the friends list remains the same. Let's change that!
I spent hours yesterday playing with people who still have to message me manually just to find out if I am online. It is frustrating to have to delete someone just to make space for a new friend when we should just have the freedom to keep growing our communities.

Reaching one hundred signatures proves I am not the only one forced to delete friends just to add someone new. It is frustrating to keep track of gaming buddies through manual messages because the system limit is so outdated.

My husband has to delete people just to add new ones he plays with all the time. Such a hassle for a paid service.
