With the next Gen taking over, the idea that people are going to invest large sums of money in factory hardrives when a USB version twice the size can be purchased for a fraction of the price. Also many people/families now own more than one of these systems and there is a need to transfer data from one to another, especially with minimal cloud support for the 360 (only game saves). With impending shutdown of servers coming in the not too distant future, back up is another thing to keep in mind. Finally, if there is ever going to be the ability to play old games on the new system architecture (games already owned through electronic purchase), this is one simple way to transfer that data from one system to the other. I know the base architecture is the hold up of that, but with small costs in development which could and would easily be paid by the consumer to scale back the need for only one system to share all titles it is all the more of a reason to do this. It could even be a paid app/program that is needed to be added to the system and/or drive but from a person speaking who has limited funds, again I believe it would be welcome with open arms. I currently have a large system drive that is full as well as four individual 32gb hd's and a flash drive one one system and similar setups on two others that the family owns.

Just when i was thinking of buying a 1TB hard drive for my kids' Xbox 360, I find out about the 32GB limit. It makes no sense on their part and is unfair to us as loyal consumers. I'm so glad i didn't spend the money to be further disapointed with Microsoft.
