This is a long-deserved honor. X is a revolutionary band that represents an entire movement of Los Angeles punk rock. The music is masterful and the lyrics are poetry. They were able to divine elements from classic rock, country and rockabilly and meld it into a kind of music that hadn't been heard before or since. They have influenced generations of bands since -- yet none of them sound as authentic and raw as X.

X is one of the most groundbreaking band with such a myriad of talent. their sound is just as modern 35 years after they were at their zenith of popularity. Im 17 and they still preach and shred about issues we all know. True rock legends.

The sheer awesomeness of X, as well as the profound influence they've had on their contemporaries and generations of musicians that have followed, makes them more than worthy of inclusion...and long overdue!
