This is a petition for a three part series finale for the X-files. The finale would conclude the alien invasion storyline via a three night special on Fox. The final episode would play the on the eve of December 21, 2012. Shows like Fringe have shown that it is possible to make special effects heavy episodes with a limited budget of around 4 million a piece. The three episodes would act as the final movie in the series and give closure to the millions of X-files fans. Because this is in a television movie format, the amount of time needed to film and prepare would be much less than that of a movie and would make it much easier for stars like Gillian Anderson and David Duchovny to make time available in their schedule. There is almost zero chance that another major motion picture will be made, and even if it is, the most important date in the X-Files will pass us by. There is still time, but we need to act fast!
