No dump in Woodinville

As a Woodinville resident living near the Woodinvill Wine area, I think this dump should be located elsewhere, farther from population and business areas.

Relocating the transfer station from Kirkland where it has been for 60 years, where all nearby residents had voluntarily purchased home, to a new location, and impacting new set of residents, is unconscionable.

I oppose

Please keep the transfer station in Kirkland.

To put a transfer station near a tourist district is insane. Just because you can; doesn’t make it right. Woodinville is an important destination for visitors from around the globe; let’s not ruin that. Woodinville area is all ready doing their part for the community in solid waste. Environmentally and socially this just does not make sense.

Keep Woodinville free from a dump site!!

We would not like the transfer station to be in Woodinville

I live off Brickyard Rd and my children walk to school on that hill. This dump could result in too much large truck traffic through a school zone and residential street.

This is a terrible idea for the environment. The carbon impact of all the trucks traveling those extra miles would be irresponsible on the part of King county. There are many other reasons why this is a bad idea but this one alone should disqualify the location.

I am against having the NERTS project in Woodinville.

We have done our share with the recycle plant. Stay in Kirkland.

No Woodinville dump

While I understand there is a need for a new transfer station, it makes absolutely no sense to put it there.

The Woodinville location for a dump is short sited and dangerous. They are developing downtown Woodinville to accommodate many more residences. Traffic is already a major problem. Adding a dump will make the roads impassable. Several businesses will need to be displaced and a private school across the street will be impacted negatively and make the campus more dangerous.

Pls do not destroy our family business by putting a dump/ recycling center on our property

Maybe 15-20 years ago this area was mainly industrial/warehouse but today it is a thriving tourist area that is rapidly becoming a mainstay of the local Woodinville economy. It is clueless to be proposing this area for a trash transfer station.

This is not the place for a recycling transfer station. We already have one in Woodinville, in the warehouse district. Plus, this is too close to the Sammamish river and Salmon/steelhead swim up this river to access breeding grounds off Lake Sammamish.

Woodinville attracts tourism from The full state of Washington and beyond. Placing This facility in the tourist area will have a significant Negative impact on The region and state
