We agree that 60 hours is still unfair, but allowing high school hours to count for the 60 hours is more achievable. It's such a far jump that they might not accept the proposal at all. We are just trying to get it started.

Though I believe living off campus would be better. I think 60 hours is a better number than 30. If students could live off campus at 30 hours then it would make it much more difficult to find an apartment/house to rent. Plus, to me you deserve to live off campus more at 60 hours than 30.

I think this petition is a great idea. However, I think it should be taken a step farther. I believe that once a student has reached 30 credit hours (including dual credit hours) he/she should be eligible to live off campus. As the petition argues, the students who have dual credit hours are more mature and can handle the increased responsibility. Also, those who do not have dual credit hours will be atleast a sophomore before being eligible by the 30 hour rule. Therefore, those students will have had time to adjust to college life, and should be capable of living off campus.

I do not have 60 hours pre high school graduation, but I do believe the point mentioned make sense. However, most universities do not have residence hall requirements. I believe that students with 30 post high school hours should be able to live off campus if they choose. This will allow students that have just graduated high school to get accustomed to college life a lot easier.
