Final supporters
As students at West Texas A&M we should be given the option to opt in or out of 2-factor authentication for our "BuffPortal" login. The Duo 2-Factor authentication is an inherently good endeavor that seeks to keep students information safe but the new login process was implemented without a general consensus from students. This petition has been started because the Duo 2-factor authentication makes it harder for students to access their assignments, amongst other important info. Some students do not have a smartphone and some students are left unable to do their homework if their phone dies for an extended time.
This petition seeks to implement a change so that students can have the option of registering for 2-factor authentication or not.

literally every single time i try to log in for a quick quiz my phone is in the other room or dead. so annoying.
This is ridiculous. I dont always have service in the dorms and then it just locks me out of my classes entirely.
Get rid of this it is useless for us
We don't need the Duo athentication. It has been giving me problems and it's not letting me sign in even the TI can't figure out what's wrong.
For faculty and staff too. I've been forced to do this for over a year now. It is sooooo pointless.
I just feel like this is a waste of time and is not needed
Inconvenient for a dead phone.
