Time For WSOPC to Reduce The Juice!

Why?

The reasons are listed below and if you want a more in depth look please read my blog about this. I have summarized the main points below and in the meantime Please Sign The Petition (At Bottom Of Page) and take the first step toward Reducing The Juice!

1) They are currently taking approx 70-100% more than the industry average by taking $65 juice on the $300 Buy-In Events and $80 on the $500 events. They are also taking over 10% on the $1500 buy-in event.

2) This represents a massive increase since just 2 years ago when the WSOPC was the BCPC. AT the time rake/juice was only 10% in the events offered. See previous rake amounts listed here http://www.onlinepokercanada.net/canadian-poker-tournaments/2011-bc-poker-championships-tournaments-bcpc/

3) What do I propose? A reduction in rake for all WSOPC events to 10% putting it in line with other major live and online poker events. For events that they have already accepted entries for alter the $300+$65 to $340+$35 and the $500+80 to $530+50 thereby increasing the prize pool. Same goes for larger events on a percentage basis.

4) Its time for Poker Players to stand up and stop getting their pockets picked by teh house. Generally, poker players are quite inelastic when it comes to the house rake on tournaments and will play regardless of the rake because of the large potential first prize payout. However, that is not a reason to idly stand by and let them scoop close to 20% of the prize pools!

5) If I am able to get some community poker support (250 signatures) on this petition I will be taking this to tournament organizers at the WSOPC and reporting my results back to you on twitter and via my blog. I hope that with your help it will be possible to Reduce The Juice!
