The WPA for Today's America

During the Great Depression, President Franklin D. Roosevelt instituted the Works Progress Administraion (WPA) as part of his "New Deal" to help suffering, out-of-work Americans find jobs ... by created ones that were needed. Today, that need is back, and has never been greater. The WPA not only helped the working class, but also those artists, actors, writers, and musicians who were drastically affected in a crumbling economy. Diego Rivera, Jackson Pollack, and Orson Welles are only a few great artists who benefited from the innovative government program. It is time for the WPA to be re-instated, and President Obama is the best figure to make that call. Let him know that America's artists and workers need his help... "President Obama, support our troupes... Bring back the WPA!"
