Guns have a massive impact on today's society, whether it be physically or psychologically.
Gun violence is an invasion of our most important human rights which are the right to live, right to health and right to education.
According to Amnesty International:
Every day more than 500 people die from gun violence and 2,000 get injured by gunshots.
There are more than 2 million people living with gun-related injuries globally.
A chart published by the World Economic Forum indicates that there is a direct relationship between high levels of gun ownership and high levels of gun-related deaths. Therefore, gun ownership regulations should be restructured to make sure that people with serious mental issues, criminal records, drug abusers and domestic abusers should not have access to any kind of firearm as it is likely to be misused. Additionally, the illicit firearms trade has to come to an end.
I started this petition to bring awareness to the horror that is gun violence and to improve the gun ownership regulations.
