800 people don't want this. Based on that you should remove it with something easier to navigate. We pay road tax and council tax so you should listen to us.

I went through the width restriction and hadn't realised I was on the curb before the entrance and my car has been written off.
I'm lucky I wasn't injured and I'm well aware it was my fault...however the fact this is so common should mean something needs to be done about this.

In the late afternoon the sun is directly in your eyeline, interfering with your vision when driving through the width restriction. This road has a width restriction and speed bumps, totally unnecessary.

I challenge the designer of this absurd width restriction to drive a van through it. I suspect they have a moped. It is the most ridiculous construction I have ever encountered. I guess HCC do not believe in accountability for wasting tax payers money.

Fully agree. Come on Highways. Be realistic. Remove the posts. They are NOT required. There is signage, a bollard. If you need anything to show a raised pavement on the width restriction, paint the edges of the kerb on it yellow. Posts must come out.

It’s unnecessary to have three posts each side. If you get it wrong then there’s a lot of damage to your car. If you get it very wrong then all the emergency services are called out and the road closed. Nightmare! Quite unnecessary

It is the one of the stupidest idea Hertfordshire Council has come up with! Where is point of that!? Person who created this thing should have the same width restriction just as he/she drive off their driveway!

I live in Woodmere ave (for the last 16 years) I have scrapped my car and my son has now too . It makes no difference to restricting cars or vans / lorries down the road as they just go through the middle . Not sure what it is designed to do other than cause accidents cost people a lot of money and waste value time for our emergency services!

These barriers are designed to inflict pain on the residence of North Watford. What would be helpful is to have camera's at both end of the street and restriction signs for heavy good vehicles. It would be good get these removed

If you look at the paint on the post you'll see the amount of damage they have done to cars and Vans. They serve no purpose what so ever. Its just another way of wasting residence hard earned cash.

Move the post back 3 inches either side, the restriction is still governed by the kerb width, (as has been done in Headstone Lane,Harrow).

Ridiculous that the upright posts are in line with the kerb

This issue needs to be resolved urgently, surely so many people can’t be wrong. I have driven through at a snails pace and still managed to hit my car!
