Why would we not have chords that doesn’t make sense

I have been in school for 14 years, and one of the things I was looking forward to was to be allowed to put a cheesy or clever quote in the yearbook, next to the last yearbook picture I will have ever tooken. And to have that allowance revoked is not fair. Along with the cap decorating topic. Some students are talented in drawing or painting, and some would like to decorate their cap, maybe to dedicate it to someone, or maybe to signify what they want to do with their life now that they're free from 14 years of school. It's not fair that we are made to do all the work over all the years, and not to get a little freedom of expression at the end of it all.

As a parent, I have watched my own child put in hard work and dedication for years. Having chords, honors and awards has been one her all time goals. She knew that in order to receive these things, she had to work hard. The C/O 18 is a dynamic group of kids and should be allowed to showcase their hard work on graduation night! Also, decorating their caps should be allowed as well. It does not take away from the overall appearance of the cap and gown. It just gives them the opportunity to showcase their individual personalities as well as their creativity. Plus, parents can easily identify where their kids are sitting on the field. #giveusourhonors

These things you all are taking away are not just little things these are traditional things that we would like to enjoy our senior year. We worked hard just like the others before us to earn these rewards and now you are taking it away from us we are very upset about it

I do not think it is fair that we do not get the honor of wearing our chords at graduation, because we have spent three to 4 years earning them with hard work and dedication. So I think it is only right that we are able to wear our chords during graduation.

I believe that from our dedicated hard work we have put through our high school years we deserve to be able to have these privelages .
