The best way to keep the area safe is installing surveillance cameras and deadbolts in the front door.

I love living here, but scared that someone will come through our front door even with lock on. With the rent we pay I shouldn't even think about this.

Please make it safer for me and my boyfriend at woodcreek apts. we work in restaurant industry so we tend to get home when it is prime time for getting robbed/car jacked/beat up. Would love to feel safe when I get home. We feel we pay too much in rent to be worried about break ins.

My biggest complaint are the single pane windows. The one by my front door literally weeps. There is so much moisture that water drips down to the ledge. When they replace a broken garage door opener, why don't they replace the warped door as well.the accordion replacement would be a afterthought.

I agree with everything. There is no reason why we should be paying this amount of rent for flimsy security.

Totally agree on the front door locks, there should be two, including a dead bolt. This would not be a huge expense, but a total necessity this day and age.

this is a great start. I'd also add a program to stop the professional dumpster divers every tuesday. I see them pull up in their shiny cars and trucks they look homeless they are not. these characters should not be given food or cans. they are a team

I 100% agree to all this petition reflects - especially a comment regarding no additional costs to the residents.
My rent was raised last year due to Wood Creek indicating that they were going to upgrade my unit (whether I wanted it done or not). It is now January, my lease will be up again come April and they have not contacted me or scheduled for my unit to be upgraded at all. I plan on contacting a residential attorney to discuss this issue and if I am due back money from raising my rent.

I agree with all of the proposed ideas. #2 is going to be tough to get them to follow through with, that is a huge expense. Although, not only would they be more secure, but the newer garage doors would improve aesthetics, and would make the whole community look a bit more modern. #1 and #3 are no brainers.

I definitely think the complex should install deadbolts on all front doors. It surprised me when I moved in that they did not have those.

At the very least updated garage door opener technology should be incorporated

The improvements better not cost the residents extra, rent is high enough to cover all costs.
