This is a residential neighborhood and should remain so.

No more commercial development! The City is losing its unique appeal to unnecessary development. If this facility is not large enough, either find a second location to split the load or move to a site already developed for an increased load.

I oppose. This plan is poorly designed and will make an already confusing and congested area even worse.

During commuting times, traffic already backs up on King Street. Expanding Woodbine would exacerbate this problem. This is an inappropriate development for a residential area of Alexandria. I agree with the need for more such facilities, and I believe that there are better locales for a high-density multi-story building such as the one proposed.

I oppose rezoning for Woodbine. It is not in the interest of the surrounding neighborhoods and would only increase traffic and parking on private residential streets. Alexandria is already busy doing that for this tight part of King Street.

Inappropriate and overuse of available land.

The lot is too small for expanding the building. You have trouble finding parking there now.

The land/parking area is already heavily used; the site for a building of this size with the required parking is incompatible with the community surrounding it. This is an overdevelopment of this small property.

I am strongly opposed. Traffic is already a disaster at the King Street and Melrose Street intersection. I am very concerned that adding more congestion (pedestrians, cars, ambulances) will only add to an already dangerous situation.

This is an inappropriate use of the space and would harm a lovely residential neighborhood. It would cause dangerous congestion and overburden the sewer and other systems in the area. The City of Alexandria should continue to reject these ridiculous attempts to modify the zoning.

As a 15-year resident of GW Park, I am opposed to changing the residential character of this region of Alexandria. It would detract from the value of the surrounding residential neighborhoods and be a blight to the city.

Public safety will be more at risk than it is now. The ambulance has had as many as 7 calls in one day to Woodbine, and with the street marking changes for the bike lanes along with the increased traffic from BRAC, the City will be putting more people at risk. Presently, there are dangerous blind spots for certain streets that intersect Janney's Lane as well as vehicles that are forced to cross over the double yellow line due to the restriping, If this request is approved, more lives will be in danger not only on Janney's Lane, but also on King Streetwhen emergency vehicles respond to calls at Woodbine. Additionally, the space is too small for a building, let alone the size submitted in the proposal.

I am opposed to rezoning this piece of land especially if the proposed building is to be built. It looks like a Hampton Inn! We can do better in Alexandria, VA

Does no fit surrounding neighborhood. Mass and scale of building seems monolithic and set too close to the street. The increase in traffic due to rezoning would be a negative impact on this residential neighborhood and add to the funneled traffic into the narrower King street intersection.

Traffic is bad enough. Please don't exacerbate the problems already created by Brac, the Mark Center, and bike lanes. Our residential street, Janneys Lane, is already feeling like an interstate.
