Wood fires bring neighbours together. That is why the city puts out free wood burning pits in community parks. Our neighbours enjoy this spot for getting together and socializing. It’s mostly the mums of young kids who want to keep warm. Please don’t ban our safe fire pit.

Things like burning a fire by the lake while enjoying visits and skates with family and friends are part of the love of living here. Please don’t take this away because one grumpy neighbor may have complained. Thank you.

I support the use of wood burning fires on the lake. The punishment of the many for the lack of attention from 1 or 2 needs to stop. Put some guidance around the use and expectations so we can all contribute to maintaining a great community culture that we have. These are community gathering opportunities and killing this over the undue care and attention of a few is unfairly punishing the users of the facilities.

The fire pit it literally one of the biggest highlights for me and my kids throughout the year. Removing this makes no sense and feels like a real knee jerk decision based on one or two people. Please bring back the fire pit and educate people on what guidelines you want people to follow so we can allow enjoy this amazing community

I have already contacted the Association. No one has got back to me yet!!
There is one thing to put an insulated fire pit over deep water, but by the shore is another thing. We have 2 pallets and cement drywall is a buffer.
I don’t believe in the occasional complaint having more power than that of the very vast majority!

This is absolutely ridiculous to implement so fast. How about start with permanent signage stating no unattended fires please put out all unattended fires. This is apart of what makes the lake and community so special
