Our aims are to raise local and national awareness and encourage the QCDA, the national board of education, to add more politics in the curriculum. We are doing this because we have found out about the lack of representation of women in parliament. We found that there are only 143 female MPs out of 650 MPs in the parliament of UK. Plus, out of the 22 Asian candidates who ran to be MPs in the 2010 general election only 3 were elected into parliament. These statistics are unfair for women and something needs to be done.
