I speak as a carer to my disabled child,to find out that West Midlands Safari park have now decided to stop carers entering free is heartbreaking. My child of course is of a young age so can't attend anywhere without me,what about the most vulnerable in our society that get sidelined from day to day "normalitys" that so many of us take for granted? Now those very people we care for will likely not be able to attend WMSP because there will simply not be enough money. Caring is a lonely experience, playdates, social meet ups etc all were able to happen within WMSP and was often spoke highly of amongst the carers community. For instance,2 carers,2 disabled children used to cost £40 with the new proposed rules that hikes upto £85 atleast! Thats over double the price! WMSP used to be a place known for inclusion us as parents, carers, those concerned for the most vulnerable in society being excluded from something as enjoyable and relaxing as a visit to the safari we must stand up and make our voices heard. Please post this far and wide we can't allow this to slip into reality.
