I spent the morning reading through the comments and honestly it is just heartbreaking to see how many people rely on the band program for their kids to learn discipline and find their footing. I have been trying to get the board members on the phone but they are avoiding my emails which is just typical but we have to keep pushing because the silence shouldn't be the final answer here.

Music helps students learn discipline and focus. If they lose this they lose so much more than just a class period.
this is ridiculous. why are they always cutting the arts first? stop wasting money elsewhere and pay for the music program.
the kids deserve a music program. this district needs to get its priorities in order.
my daughter loves band class. keep it funded.
Music was the only reason i made it through high school. dont take this away from the kids.
