This past semester, the trial run of IB Anthropology SL and HL 1 at Washington Lee High School with the use of a seminar structure (without informing participants of such) was joint taught. This joint teaching has caused many problems and inconvenienced students in multiple ways, damaging their grades and inducing additional stress.

We propose the teachers of this specific class keep and regularly update a webpage containing information of daily assignments, material covered in class, and homework with expectations of such in order to minimize and hopefully eliminate the mass confusion caused when teachers fail to inform students of policy and assignments during class and then rely on word-of-mouth to spread the new information the the sixty plus students.

Additionally, the differences in grading harshness and usage of rubrics makes it difficult to manage and anticipate grades and would be beneficial for the students if the grading was similar between the two teachers as it will even the grade curve and allowing students to be fairly judged on their academic standings.

Please sign this petition to bring it to the attention of the teachers and IB staff of the consequences lack of communication has caused.
