Children are suffering socially and mentally. This can not be downplayed in decision making

Nothing will change in a month, we need the choice to go back to school in person now. Our athletes are playInt sports, preschools are open, other schools and districts are open to in school instruction- all have done it, in your words “thoughtfully, safely, and in the best interest of our students”. It doesn’t make any sense that football players can TACKLE each other “safely & thoughtfully” and students can’t return to in person learning. This is definitely not in the best interest of our students, and it’s an insult to all the students who don’t play sports. I will reiterate a sentiment echoed by most of the families and students especially in this district- return to in person learning now. Waiting another month because the board is not prepared is negligent. We need to have a plan in place right away, nothing will change between now and November.

My kids want to go back full time. Staring at a screen and social isolation are mentally and physically taxing on them. My husband and I have full time careers and we are not trained as teachers. Stop sacrificing our youth for less than 0.5% contracting and dying from Covid-19

Please get a plan to get our kids back to school. 90% of Michigan schools have face to face, why is Walled Lake in the 10%? our kids are not getting the same education as kids in other school districts, including private schools.

It is extremely important to our kids back into the class room. My child is a good student and gets wonderful grades. However, in this format the desire and motivation to learn is not being met. Her love of school and learning is not being met in this current format. I worry she will lose her drive and interest. PLEASE start the F2F format again! Much appreciated.
