Wirral Hospice objects to planning application to build pub/restaurant on Drayton Motors site

this proposal is not condusive to the relaxed and restful environment the hospice patients deserve.

Really don't think this should be allowed to be built so near to the hospice out of consideration to all the patients in there

Show some respect for those who are suffering and let them spend there last days in the peace and tranquility that the hospice provides

this planning application should not be agreed

As a regular traveller to Clatterbridge oncology there is enough stress involved without having to negotiate pub traffic

Highly insensitive to even suggest building a pub so close to St.Johns hospice!!!!

My sister, Helen Wray spent the last few days of her life at the Hospice in peace, quiet & comfort. I think it is important that this facility and surrounding area are maintained ina quiet dignified manner without unnecessary noise & disturbance a development of this nature would bring.

Greene King do not really operate the nightclub type environment suggested by the petition. They tend to be restaurant / family type places. You cannot object to a planning application because of "competition to our own hub" Pubs and restaurants closed at a rate of up to 65 per week...this is a sign of genuine jobs and investments into the industry and jobs for Wirral people. A car park in the application will remove the issue if traffic. Bins and deliveries? Really? Does the hospice not receive deliveries to its own premises (buses transporting premises, bin wagons removing rubbish, food and equipment deliveries?) or does the hospice use men on bicycles to do this? Staff safety? A restaurant activity that closes at 23:00 will increase risks to staff safety? Is the chef going to turn psycho? Service users are vulnerable and this is the only thing I can see Greene King needing to work with the hospice to support patients (maybe planting a rememberence garden or local donation days??)

Such a bad idea. People in the hospice need to have peace.

It's not an appriate place for a pub, one needs to think about people are ill in clatter bridge not just at johns... It's a nice peaceful part of the Wirral and it should stay that way!

Bad enough round there with congestion as it is.

The people in the hospice need the peace and quiet to get better. It also helps family members at such a difficult time!
