Wirral Hospice objects to planning application to build pub/restaurant on Drayton Motors site

Th sick and terminally ill should not have to put up with noise and disturbances of this nature. The hospice should be protected at all costs and kept as peaceful as possible.

how inconsiderate to even consider developing the site when the hospice is over the road caring for extremely ill patients.

I really hope this does,nt happen in front of the hospice were some of my loved ones have passed away

I can't believe this would even be considered giving the close proximity. The sick, terminally ill and their families wishes should be absolutely paramount in this decision and I am disgusted at the prospect if this going ahead.

This facility can have no effect other than to cause disturbance at the Hospice.

Think it's highly insensitive too the patients my late husband stayed at hospice couple off times an sadly passed away there, I think the noise people passing by wud be unsettling for patients

This application needs to be blocked, the needs of the patients and families of Wirral Hospice should be put first.

This facility is some distance from any density of houses. Why not use one of the many empty pub/restaurant buildings in the area? Siting a restaurant and bar in this area is bound to lead to increased noise and many security concerns, an increase in traffic and considerable disruption to both the hospital and hospice.

The intrusion on the sanctuary of the patients at the hospice would be appalling.

Bloody hell right opposite the hospice all sick people don't think they need a pub there for god sake plus how many pub are closing now a days

Respect our hospice and it's patients, find somewhere else to build your pub!

I agree with all the concerns raised. There are plenty of other places that could be used for the purposes of a pub

completely agree with with the Hospices objections. A lot of people in thr hospice, not all, are dying. A hospice is built for purpose and that is to provide and comforting, calm and quiet environment to eiter recieve treatment or recieve palliative care. As a fwllow nurse o another unit within Clatterbridge, I understand very well just how important a non stimulating environment is for such patients. personally I think it would be disrespectful for the dying patients and in any case why build a bar area where people are going to drink alcohol? why would that make the hospice better? weve also got to consider that there are other wards on clatterbridge site from the mental health unit at springview. are they going to be welcome to drink in the pub? we like to think that people would drink sensibly and respectfully, however we are all aware of the affects of alcohol on some people who drink too much. alcohol can contribute to personality changes and behaviour making people louder, tearful, angry etc and giving the circumstances that may occur I think its not only going to be an issue for patients but also for nursing staff. This is a bad idea

former nurse at hospice... too comfort always.. I pub over the road is not needed.

after the recent events supporting our local hospice and hospitals should be our main fix. There are plenty of other places that could do with this.
