As Bharati Vidyapeeth college of engineering has decided to take the university exams in offline mode but as per the situation of Maharashtra, the Covid cases are increasing day by day.
The university said that a parents consent would be needed before the exams... but the dates have been already declared and no consent was asked to be filled. As we all know the cases have started to increase at a greater level. We don’t want our wards to be affected the COVID-19 virus. Also, there is less possibility of Safety while travelling from one state to another and there are different COVID norms per city/state. Moreover , now even the symptons are not even identifiable and the second wave is more dangerous then the first one was . From the past days Maharastha has also shown a great increase in cases .Thus we want our wards safety and want our wards exam to be held online.

It would be really risky and expensive at such times to come to pune as I had shifted my room too and the travel itself will be risky at such times.

BVP COE - Winter 2020 - Group of students wanting Online exams:
1) Mostly colleges are student centric, but the recent notice of offline exam without taking the views of students/parents shows that there is a major communication gap from our college's side.
What is even more saddening, that even after numerous queries raised from our side, we were not provided any concrete answer by any responsible person.
In such a scenario, where the situation is life threatening & making the arrangements for travel / accommodation is difficult, we should not be forced to put ourselves in a risky & uncomfortable situation.
All we want from the college is to be more considerate & take the actions based on government guidelines and most importantly, take the students & their parents into confidence keeping in mind the safety & well being of everyone.
2)Concern Regarding the Conduction of Offline Exam:
Dear Sir, I have been informed that the college has issued the time table for offline exam for all semesters of Engineering College. This however is very concerning as I am not comfortable in allowing my ward to travel to Pune & appear for the exam in this situation. What is more upsetting is that the college authorities have taken this descision that will affect thousands of students without asking them or their parents about the preparedness about travel arrangements & availability of accommodation. I would hence request the college to take the Parents & Students in confidence first as the situation hasn't been normalised and also follow all the government guidelines for the safety & well being of everyone.
3)Respected sir,
It has come to my attention that the college is conducting examinations through offline means. Regarding this matter I want to convey it to you that due to the current situation in Maharashtra as of now I am uncomfortable with the idea of sending my ward in there. Also I have looked into other colleges like Pune University, etc and have come

Why our college is only taking offline exams when all the colleges in maharashtra either took online exams or going to take when the situation is not in control then why the university administration is risking our lives.
