Winfield Residents' Opposition To Scottsdale Heights

This another development designed to have a density that exceeds zoning. Now zoning will need to be changed to accommodate the developer rather than the residents. Scottsdale will no longer be the Wests most Western Town. Remember this situation when you vote for Mayor and City Council.

There are so many apartments along Scottsdale Rd. North of the 101. our Scenic Drive is so appreciated by everyone I have discussed it with. This part of Scottsale is all that is left with the old west history and feel. Dove Valley is too close to our magnificent one of a kind areas. Apartments leaves a lot of older peoples' safety and security threatened by gangs. I have worked with gang violence with the head of our National Crime Prevention and Chief Advisor to the White House years ago in Chicago and many other Governors etc. Law is not the answer but Education, I was told by Dr. Carlton Turner. our schools will be tested. Higher prices of apts. means nothing. Usually 2 Units have to be given to people that need low income housing. I'm paying higher taxes and high fees to live here. Why ruin such a beautiful area when Scottsdale has very little desert land beauty left . There are apts. available by Thompson Peak Hospital and south of the 101. no reason to change the atmosphere and peace of my investment or the people in the surrounding area. our roads were designed for low density traffic and noise & air polution. Tempe would be a better location with the new Coyote Stadium, where they will need it. I oppose this present zoning. There is property for sale at the corner of Hayden & Pinnacle Peak.

I am opposed to the zoning category and the proposed 78 unit development at the southeast corner of Scottsdale and Dove Valley Roads. This densely populated proposed development will negatively impact our neighborhood in so many ways.

509 trips on Dave Valley Rd will be very dangerous. At present a left turn is already difficult. the row housing is too dense and not in keeping with the neighborhood

This proposed development and zoning change is not in the best interest of the home owners of the Winfield community. It will have a potential risk to the value of our properties.

I live in the Winfield community and do not want "apartments" adjacent to Winfield. Rental apartments will lower the value of our owned properties.

I live in Winfield at 7952 E Russet Sky Dr. and do not support this development as presented due to density and structure height.

Commercial would be preferable to high density residential.

This project as it stands will negatively effect property values and the potential issues that it could create for the Winfield community due to density issues is a real concern.

This development is not within character of the surrounding area. Additionally, the density of this project does not comply with the North Scottsdale guidelines.

I too am adamantly opposed to this development!

Please cut back the density and keep this development within the standards of the surrounding neighborhood.

how much denser can this housing units become? hand coffee out the window to your neighbor.
