I will simply switch to and Mac and never look bac if I wasted $800 for a piece of hardware that will not be upgradable after 1 year of service.

Since Microsoft has decided to effectively abandon the RT platform, by opting not to provide an upgrade path to windows 10, the responsible thing for them to do is to unlock the platform that some developers can revitalize the platform on their own.

Please unlock the bootloader otherwise my best option for portability, useability and battery power is to switch to android.
