Windows for LRI outpatients
The lack of natural light in the LRI outpatients department has been an issue for many years, which has been shown to have a huge effect on patient and staff mental health and wellbeing, as well as vitamin D. Even since the renovations in the department, patients have commented (via F&F feedback and verbally) on the dark nature of the space, and the staff working within the department have all expressed the same view.
We believe that the creation of frosted windows in the staff seating zone on the wall adjoining to the long corridor towards the elevators would allow enough light into the department. This is a non-clinical area and would therefore not breach confidentiality, and would provide access to day light for staff.
If you feel this would benefit the department environment, please consider signing this petition.
