Windmill Farms is a master-planned community located just to east of Forney TX off of Highway 80.
Windmill Farms is currently limited to one provider of internet and cable TV services. My personal experiences with this provider have left me frustrated and searching for a competitor for almost 12 years now. We are nearing the end of traditional TV access methods. In the near future the option to stream local and fee based channels over the internet will become the norm and not the exception. It is my strong opinion that the current options available in Windmill Farms housing addition will not allow it residences to take advantage of this change in TV viewing. Nor will our current provider allow us to take advantage of any costs savings that would be gained from streaming TV services from the internet.
This petition will be used for the sole purpose of gauging interest only. I will not use this petition for any other purposes.

The monopoly holding our neighborhood hostage continues to ignore the glaring reality that their service is failing us. I am currently reaching out to other providers to show them exactly how many of us are ready to drop this company the moment we have a real alternative.

The sheer volume of people joining this fight proves that our current provider has been coasting while we suffer with failing service. They clearly think we have no other choice but we are proving them wrong.

This area is monopolized by utilities, and with the corona virus circulating I now see how inconvenient it’s been to not have more internet providers service this location. This has made being a teacher living here exceptionally difficult and frustrating.
If indeed peoples telecom had locked in at windmill farms then we all have lost our consumer's sovereinty especially when it comes to choice of ISP. As far as Im concern, peoples ISP is inefficient. I am pretty sure there are steps we can take to reverse these trends otherwise, we shall forever remain cash cows to Peoples Telecom
My family and I just moved here and have been told the horror stories of having only one Internet provider, that is overpriced and slow with speed. This is a beautiful community, but to subject its residents to such a monopolized arrangement, is beyond unfair to the whole subdivision.
I have a work from home job but my internet speed has prevented me from starting my job in wind mill farms. The adjacent county of Rockwall has faster service but not here. We just cut our cable off. Since att and t bought we cannot afford their monthly bills.
Internet available here now is outdated, slow, and very expensive not to mention limited. With all the new electronics available and changing everyday, streaming tv, videos etc is a much wanted service . We must change with the times and allow the new internet comanies to come here and compete for much better and cheaper services
Viasat needs to be shut down!!!!!!!!!!
We need towers out here! No internet is good here and I work from home

I don't have a choice to go back to work and there's many others like me in this community, so internet has become more of a necessity and not just a commodity for fun anymore. This community is still building, so that means more people who need service, working from your cell phone's hot spot is not ideal for business or school work.
