Wilmington is a great town and I hope I can continue sharing this wonderful town with others. Cutest town in Bermont!

I have been spending all summers in Vermont with my family and friends and have been able to maintain our home thanks to renting it out in winter. If I’m no longer allowed to rent out my home as STR, I will either need to sell or keep the maintenance of the house to a strict minimum, since it will sit vacant for more than 6 months a year.

I am against stopping people from short term renting their homes. It brings business to the valley and will be stopping not only money coming to the valley but may put certain people out of jobs.

I favor reasonable, non-fee ways to deal with troublesome, short-term tenants.

Short term rentals are a win for everyone. These are second homes purchased as vacation properties. Instead of them sitting empty when the owners aren't using them, short term rentals allow visitors to experience and enjoy the area while providing a vital boost to the local economy. Banning some STRs based on arbitrary size requirements without supporting data to justify the actions seems unnecessarily punitive and short-sighted.

STR are vital to this community in so many ways. Many second homeowners would not be able to own and use a property without the supplemental revenue from even a few nights of rentals.

All short-term rentals, big and small, should be allowed in all districts as a fundament right for all property owners. If you restrict STRs, you risk a vital component of the community’s tourism industry which will have a dramatic effect on this Vermont town we love. Please reconsider and implement data-driven recommendations to the Selectboard.

I stand for responsible STR safety regulations.
