Prof William Schabas,an expert on international law,has been appointed to Chair the UNCommission of Inquiry into Israel's role in the latest round of hostilities in the Gaza Strip.Prof Schabas is unfit for the role as in 2013 he categorically stated on a public platform that he would like to see Netanyahu in the dock in front of the international criminal court. This proves his a priori prejudice towards Netanyahu and to Israel and does not augur well for an objective inquiry. A Commission of Inquiry with Prof Schabas as its Chair will have no credibilityand will favour Israel's enemies in its deliberations and final report.
