This needs to happen as these derelict buildings are creating an eyesore and being used as places to hang out for undesirables surely if local people/buissnesses were given insentives to do something with these buildings it would benefit the local community aswell as the council as once these buildings were back in use the council would be collecting rates from them

Willenhall was once a prosperous town, steeped in lock making history. It has very old buildings with original features. The town should be celebrated not left to get run down. Walsall council should be ashamed of itself

These derelict buildings are in a disgusting state and a slur on willenhall town centre. they have been like this for many years. The council should compulsory purchase both buildings and use the sites for much needed social housing.

The Council should buy it and 'gift-it' to the people of the town. Local people will provide the perfect, ideal 'local solution' for its best use which will provide shelter and positive activities that help rejuvenate the area.

Absentee landlords allowing their property to fall into disrepair and dereliction should have it compulsorily purchased by local authority. Whether it's commercial or residential property. Landlords holding property as an alternative to money in the bank, with no intention to let it or maintain it, are parasites on the community it stands in.
